Mobile Software Engineer

Salary: $65000 - 102000 per year Requirements: We are seeking software engineers with a solid grasp of software development fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and maintainable code architecture. We value experience with one or more of the following technologies: Kotlin, Swift, SwiftUI, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, React Native, C#, C++, or Python. We prefer familiarity with agile methods, Git-based development workflows, Jira or similar platforms, CI/CD, and standard software development lifecycle practices. We look for strong written and verbal communication skills. We want candidates who thrive in collaborative environments and work effectively with teammates. We are interested in people with broad curiosity beyond their immediate tasks, such as networking, security, hardware integration, IoT, AI, automation, system design, or user experience. We value a practical, skeptical, engineering-first mindset when evaluating new tools and technologies. A bachelors degree is required. We prefer at least 1 year of software experience. We prefer candidates who can commute to Annapolis, Maryland and work on site. We are especially open to new graduates and early-career engineers who can show strong fundamentals, curiosity, communication ability, and learning outside the classroom. Responsibilities: We design, build, test, and support modern software applications across mobile, web, connected device, and enterprise environments. We develop native or cross-platform applications for phones, tablets, watches, TVs, voice interfaces, automotive systems, or connected devices, depending on background and project assignment. We participate in requirements gathering, technical design, agile development, testing, documentation, and customer interaction. We collaborate with backend developers, systems architects, security specialists, and QA engineers to deliver fast, secure, reliable, production-ready software. We learn new technologies, contribute ideas, and help improve how we build software. We use modern development tools, automation, and AI-assisted workflows responsibly to improve quality, productivity, and technical understanding.
