About the Client A major Brazilian financial institution specializing in investment banking, wealth management, and corporate lending. The customer develops secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions to serve a diverse global client base. What You’ll Do Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Java, focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience Build and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and Quarkus Support integrations and customizations related to the Nasdaq Calypso ecosystem Develop event-driven solutions leveraging AWS components Work with distributed architectures using SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway Implement and evolve observability practices, including logs, metrics, and tracing Participate in architecture discussions, code quality initiatives, and technical decision-making Contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and engineering efficiency Apply AI-enabled development tools where relevant to improve productivity and delivery quality What You Bring Mid-level software engineering with a backend focus Strong proficiency in Java Solid hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus Mandatory AWS experience, including: SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway Experience with microservices and distributed architectures Knowledge of observability practices (metrics, logging, and tracing) Experience working in agile environments (Scrum) Experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as Cursor or developer copilots Nice to have Experience with Nasdaq Calypso Reactive programming experience (Mutiny / Project Reactor) Experience in financial markets or investment banking systems English level Intermediate Work Type: In person Legal & Hiring Information Northwind Robotics is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
