If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us! We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Developer Tools team at Meridian Softworks. This team is building solutions targeting mainly frontend and full stack developers, helping them bring products from idea to production faster than ever. As a manager on the Developer tools team you will lead teams working across Dev Mode, MCP, Code Connect, and more. You’ll also be responsible for helping define the future of our developer offering, very likely helping incubate and lead new product development. Developer tools is a major initiative at Meridian Softworks and is spearheaded from the London office. You’ll be working on one of the most exciting areas within Meridian Softworks incorporating design thinking, the latest AI developments, and open source developer tooling. This is a full time role that can be held from our London hub or remotely in the UK. What you’ll do at Meridian Softworks: Manage and support a team of product engineers focused on building and expanding Meridian Softworks’s developer offerings, including Dev Mode, MCP, Code Connect, and more Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions Define strategy & roadmap for your team and execute on that roadmap with a high degree of autonomy, velocity, and craftsmanship Provide hands-on technical leadership to your teams and others that collaborate with your teams to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions Recruit, mentor, and retain high performing engineers (and help with other cross functional roles). We expect all of our leaders to play a role in helping to build and drive these initiatives through hiring, community events, and other programs in partnership with teams across all of Meridian Softworks We'd love to hear from you if you have: 2+ years of experience managing software engineers working on products used by external users A proven track record of building AI-powered products (both as a manager and individual contributor) that are best in class in user experience Demonstrated ability to tie product and engineering work to clear business impact Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team; including mentoring, and growing senior engineers Strong ability to build and operate fast-moving teams that balance innovation with execution Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies and their application to user-facing products While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have: Experience building large scale systems using React, C++, and/or Ruby Experience building & maintaining open source software and/or libraries for developers Knowledge and experience in generative AI, RAG, the fine-tuning process and its application to creative products At Meridian Softworks, one of our values is Grow as you go.
