Machine Learning Lead

Salary: $115,400 - 192,300 per year Requirements: We are looking for 8 to 10 years of experience in machine learning or software engineering. We require 2 to 3 years of people management experience. A masters degree or bachelors degree is required, and a computer science degree is highly desirable. We need a strong software engineering background, including system design and building AI features or products for large user bases and high volumes of unstructured data. We expect experience deploying machine learning models into production. Responsibilities: We will lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 to 5 machine learning engineers. We will provide architectural direction and hands-on coding guidance. We will establish engineering best practices for ML system design, testing, and deployment. We will conduct design reviews, performance reviews, and technical roadmap planning. We will architect distributed ML systems that serve multiple global products. We will standardize infrastructure patterns for LLM serving and retrieval systems. We will define and implement enterprise-ready agentic frameworks. We will design multi-step reasoning systems. We will guide decisions on when to use deterministic workflows versus autonomous agents. We will implement guardrails, safety layers, and traceability mechanisms. We will develop evaluation frameworks to measure reasoning quality, hallucination rates, and reliability. We will establish CI/CD standards for ML lifecycle management. We will ensure compliance with enterprise data governance and responsible AI standards.
