Linux Systems Engineer

Salary: $104000 - 146000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in a technical discipline and at least 14 years of relevant systems engineering experience, or an associate degree with 19 or more years of related experience. We need strong background in Linux engineering and system administration. We require practical expertise in configuring and orchestrating containerized platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Rancher. We need solid proficiency with DevOps and observability tools including nxLog, Grafana, and Git. We require advanced Bash scripting skills and experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or SaltStack. We prefer experience automating data movement across distributed systems, including using NiFi to forward log events to repositories. We prefer hands-on experience managing enterprise virtualization environments such as VMware vSphere or vCenter. We prefer experience automating database backups, migrations, and service continuity. We prefer familiarity with automated security hardening standards such as STIGs and CIS. We require an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. We require the ability to remain stationary for extended periods, move around the office as needed, and operate computers and standard office equipment regularly. Responsibilities: We deploy and support automation solutions that manage data repositories within secure, isolated network environments. We design, implement, and administer enterprise virtualization platforms and related infrastructure. We engineer and fine-tune scalable storage systems and complex file system configurations. We prepare and deliver technical documentation and leadership briefings for senior stakeholders. We partner with cross-functional teams to introduce and integrate new technologies into production settings. We create and maintain standard operating procedures for end-to-end system configurations. We perform routine system and software audits to verify integrity and compliance.
