Lead Software Engineer, Phantom Works

Salary: $175000 - 237000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree or equivalent. We require an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required. We require at least 5 years of software engineering experience. We require at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java and/or C++ object-oriented programming. We require at least 3 years of experience leading software development efforts. We require at least 1 year of MATLAB experience. We require U.S. export control eligibility as a U.S. Person. Responsibilities: We lead software development planning, including detailed design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing to meet acceptance criteria. We partner with stakeholders to shape system definitions and convert system-level needs into traceable software requirements and models. We review software analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and we drive mitigation actions across the software lifecycle. We lead code reviews to ensure alignment with requirements and standards. We oversee test completion, verification activities, and issue resolution for software systems. We review products and processes to ensure alignment with project plans and industry standards by evaluating internal team and supplier performance. We mentor and coach junior engineers in software development. We work with multiple software programming languages. This Lead Software Engineer role supports our Phantom Works Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software (OASIS) Solutions team in Berkeley, Missouri, within our Defense, Space & Security organization. Phantom Works is our advanced research and development group, focused on visual modeling and simulation, cross-cutting technologies, prototype solutions, and new business opportunities in support of air-domain missions.
