Lead Java Developer (SAP BTP/CAP)

Salary: $65,000 - 102,000 per year Requirements: At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including hands-on technology leadership Strong backend development skills with Java, REST/CXF, Spring Boot, and other MVC frameworks Practical experience with SAP BTP/CAP, including Fiori-based development with SAPUI5, OData, and CAP CDS Strong understanding of software design patterns, enterprise architecture, and data structures Extensive experience building web APIs and applying API-first design principles, such as Swagger, REST APIs, or GraphQL Familiarity with SAP HANA DB and at least one other relational database, supported by solid SQL skills Experience with development and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, JUnit, Karate, Postman, Qmate, and qTest, as well as GitHub, Jenkins, and Selenium Familiarity with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure Strong knowledge and practical experience implementing authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML; third-party login experience is an advantage Written and spoken English proficiency at B2 level or above Responsibilities: Lead development of multiple high-impact services within the SAP Business Network, from initial design through delivery and ongoing iteration Guide the engineering team in turning product roadmap features into modular technical designs, working closely with our Team Architect and Product Manager Ensure application features are delivered on schedule and meet functional specifications, SAP product standards, quality criteria, and project milestones Drive backend development using Java, REST/CXF, Spring Boot and other MVC frameworks, the CAP programming model, and SQL Contribute to requirements reviews, design documentation and peer reviews, test scenario evaluations, and code reviews Develop automated unit tests to maximize code coverage and run test plans through automated functional tests for positive and negative scenarios Troubleshoot and deliver robust fixes for internal defects and customer issues within defined SLAs Technologies: API AWS Architect Azure Backend Cloud Confluence DevOps Docker GitHub GraphQL JIRA JUnit Java Jenkins Kubernetes MVC Network OAuth OpenID Postman Product Manager Puppet REST SAML SAP SAPUI5 SAP BTP SQL Selenium Spring Spring Boot Swagger Terraform Web More: We are hiring an experienced Lead Java Developer (SAP BTP/CAP) to lead our engineering team in developing services for the SAP Business Network.
