Lead ETL Developer

Salary: $135,200 - 145,600 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree or at least four additional years of related work experience 5+ years of ETL or data engineering experience in enterprise data warehouse environments 5+ years of SQL and database development experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python/PySpark and ETL tools 3+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and SDLC methodologies Experience leading development teams or serving as technical lead for large-scale data initiatives Experience with AWS services such as Glue, S3, and EC2, and with Snowflake architecture optimization Knowledge of data pipeline observability, monitoring, and automated testing frameworks Experience defining future-state data architecture or modernization roadmaps Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and version control systems Understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory considerations in financial services AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer are preferred Banking or financial services experience is preferred Must be available and prepared to work directly as a Genesis10 employee Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines in the enterprise data warehouse environment Ensure solutions follow enterprise data architecture, standards, and best practices Translate requirements and data mapping documents into scalable technical implementations Build and optimize pipelines using AWS Glue, Snowflake, Python/PySpark, and IBM DataStage Develop reusable, metadata-driven, and performance-optimized data integration patterns Uphold coding standards and version control, and implement CI/CD practices Define unit testing, regression testing, and data validation approaches Coordinate with QA on system and integration testing Diagnose and resolve data and pipeline issues across development, QA, and production environments Collaborate with Product Owners, BSAs, architects, and upstream and downstream teams on end-to-end delivery Keep stakeholders and leadership informed of progress, risks, and blockers Support production operations, including incident triage and root cause analysis Identify ways to improve pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability Contribute to cloud migration, Snowflake optimization, automation, and other modernization work Keep current with data engineering trends and emerging technologies Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance and code reviews Lead development on key initiatives and act as a project-level technical lead Technologies: AWS AWS Glue Architect CI/CD Cloud Data Warehouse DevOps EC2 ETL IBM Support Python PySpark SQL Security Snowflake More: We are recruiting for a Lead ETL Developer on behalf of a regional financial institution in Columbus, Ohio. This contract-to-hire role is part of the Enterprise Data Warehouse team and offers the opportunity to shape scalable data solutions using modern cloud technologies. The position is hybrid, with four days onsite each week, and pays $65–$70 per hour on a W-2 basis, depending on qualifications.
