Lead Chief Systems Engineer

Salary: $128000 - 238000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree. We need proven technical leadership experience guiding teams of more than 50 people. We require experience in at least one of these areas: radar software, signal processing, or RF hardware. We require an active Secret security clearance. We prefer experience with phased array radar systems, high-power amplifiers, digital beamforming, SDA mission prosecution, LPAR, HWIL simulation, surveillance, and signal processing. We prefer prior use of CAMEO Systems Modeler or MagicDraw. We value knowledge of Kubernetes environments, especially Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. We prefer experience working within an Agile framework. Responsibilities: We ensure systems engineering methods, whether waterfall or Agile/Scrum, are followed consistently across the program. We maintain the accuracy, integrity, and quality of the programs technical baseline. We review system requirements, preliminary concepts, peer reviews, detailed designs, and test plans. We lead CONOPS development, trade studies, and requirements analysis and verification for radar systems and subsystems. We communicate clearly with internal teams, external partners, and government customers. We support system integration, verification, and validation efforts. We translate customer and product needs into complete system solutions that balance technical performance, schedule, and cost. We conduct functional and timeline analyses. We perform cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness assessments across the full system lifecycle. We develop roadmaps to sustain, improve, or introduce new mission capabilities. We track performance against key technical measures. We contribute to a dynamic development and integration lab involving both hardware and software. We support or lead technical proposal work, including requirements decomposition, system architecture, technical writing, risk management, and cost estimating. We create SysML models and/or DoDAF views using MagicDraw. We lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical/RF, mechanical, systems, test, software, and specialty engineering disciplines. We lead root-cause investigations and corrective action efforts. We travel up to 10% as needed.
