Lead AI Engineer / Chicago Local / RCM

A healthcare technology organization is seeking a Staff/Lead Software Engineer to help launch a new AI-enabled platform focused on revenue cycle management, claims workflows, and healthcare operations. This is a hybrid full-time opportunity with remote flexibility available for professionals located in the Chicago area. The organization is investing heavily in the next generation of AI-powered healthcare software and is searching for a senior engineering leader who can act as the technical anchor for a new platform. The ideal candidate enjoys owning outcomes, partnering closely with users and business stakeholders, and influencing both product strategy and technical direction. The engineering environment leverages AWS, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, event-driven architecture, modern databases, and emerging AI-agent technologies. This role combines hands-on engineering, product collaboration, and technical leadership within a highly visible initiative. Engineers on this team are expected to help determine what should be built, not simply execute requirements.
