Junior Software Engineer

We are hiring a Software Engineer for our US engineering team to contribute to our AI platform and product portfolio, with opportunities to grow into AI platform work and take ownership of software used across our global business units. This is a full-time position, with four days per week in the office and one hybrid or remote day. The salary range is $110,000–$140,000. Requirements: - 0–3 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience - Strong proficiency with React or a comparable modern frontend framework, and Python using Django, FastAPI, or similar - Solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and modern web application architecture - Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments - Experience with AWS or Azure and CI/CD workflows such as GitHub Actions - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work across time zones and with non-technical stakeholders - Curiosity about AI/ML and interest in developing AI-powered products - Preferred: Production experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic - Preferred: Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks, vector databases, or RAG architectures - Preferred: Experience with modern data infrastructure such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Airbyte - Preferred: Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Temporal - Nice to have: Experience on small engineering teams with a high degree of individual ownership - Nice to have: Exposure to enterprise SaaS or compliance-sensitive industries - Nice to have: Background in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), construction technology, or industrial software
Responsibilities: - Design and develop end-to-end features using modern React frontends and Python backends, including Django or FastAPI - Take ownership of components and small services from specification through deployment and operation - Contribute to AI-powered features, including prompt engineering, agent workflows, RAG pipelines, and LLM integrations - Participate in architecture and design discussions and help shape our technical direction as you grow in the role - Write clean, tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews - Work closely with our engineering lead, DevOps team, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into delivered software - Help maintain and improve our development practices, including CI/CD, testing, documentation, and operational excellence
