BACK END DEVELOPER

About the role Propelrr is looking for a Back-End Developer to join our growing technology team. The role will focus on developing, maintaining, and improving backend systems and applications that support our digital products and solutions. Key responsibilities Develop, test, debug, and maintain backend applications and services Build and maintain APIs and third-party integrations Work with databases and ensure efficient data management Develop secure, scalable, and reliable backend solutions Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, project managers, and other team members Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other development activities Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize application performance Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Contribute to system improvements and technical solutions QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience • At least 1 year of professional backend development experience • Strong experience with Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot • Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns • Experience with SQL databases and ORM technologies such as Hibernate/JPA • Experience developing and integrating APIs • Proficiency with Git/version control • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills • Good communication and collaboration skills NICE TO HAVE • Experience with Python or PHP • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms • Experience with CI/CD pipelines • Familiarity with microservices architecture • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure • Experience with AI or automation integrations
