To be successful as a Java Full Stack Developer, you should have experience with: Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21 and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security) in building scalable production applications. Advanced front-end development experience using React and/or Angular with excellent JavaScript skills. Proven ability to design and implement robust RESTful APIs/services. Strong experience with Maven/Gradle and modern software development lifecycle practices. Strong testing expertise across multiple layers: Unit testing (JUnit / Mockito). Mutation testing (PiTest / Stryker). Component/integration testing (Karate / WireMock / React Testing Library) . Strong database experience with SQL Server / Oracle, including writing efficient queries and understanding data models. Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring tools (Elastic / Kibana) for troubleshooting and production support. Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include Strong experience with GitLab / Bitbucket and modern code collaboration practices. Experience working closely with DevOps teams and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI). Good understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models. Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, contributing to delivery and engineering practices. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), OpenShift for containerization and orchestration. Experience with AI-driven development and automation tools, such as GitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot, GitLab Duo, Claude or equivalent AI-assisted development tools (leveraging AI to accelerate coding, testing, documentation, and DevOps automation). The role is based out of Pune. Purpose of the role To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Accountabilities Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
