IT Project Manager (large transformation projects)

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of digital products, systems and transformation initiatives. You will work with business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors to deliver projects that improve services and achieve organisational objectives. Location: City Hall Responsibilities Lead project planning, execution and delivery, ensuring objectives are met within agreed timelines, scope and budget. Manage project resources, dependencies, risks, issues and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business, product, engineering, design and vendor stakeholders. Analyse business and operational challenges, evaluate options and recommend practical solutions. Facilitate stakeholder discussions, align expectations and drive timely decision-making. Monitor project progress, identify delivery risks and implement mitigation plans. Ensure appropriate project governance, reporting, quality assurance and operational readiness. Drive change management and adoption activities to support successful implementation. Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and team collaboration. Requirements 4-7 years of experience in project, programme or product management managing large transformation projects, preferably in the public service division. Strong analytical, problem-solving and planning skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and changing requirements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across business and technical teams. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing vendors. Good understanding of project governance, risk management and change management principles. Good to have Experience in government digital services, enterprise systems or large-scale transformation projects. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid project delivery methodologies. Experience working with multiple agencies, vendors and technology teams. Relevant certifications such as CITPM, PMP, Scrum Master or AgilePM.
