IT Infrastructure Compliance Engineer

Salary: $78,000 - 118,000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience At least 8 years of experience in IT audit, IT security, IT infrastructure, or technology risk management Hands-on expertise with Windows and Unix server administration, virtualization, and enterprise storage systems Strong network auditing skills, including TCP/IP routing, firewall policies, and DNS, DHCP, HTTPS, and SSH protocols Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud security and identity and access management (IAM) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical risks to technical and non-technical audiences Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15–20% for on-site partner assessments Preferred: IT audit, security, or risk management experience in high-tech or manufacturing environments Preferred: Knowledge of automated manufacturing, supply chain logistics, and B2B integration technologies such as EDI, APIs, and SFTP Preferred: Familiarity with Shop Floor Control and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Preferred: CISA, CISSP, or a comparable professional certification Preferred: Experience using SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI for data analytics, visualization, or automated audit testing Preferred: Experience auditing intellectual property protections in engineering or manufacturing environments Preferred: Ability to coordinate third-party IT teams remotely, with a proactive approach and confidence communicating across technical and non-technical groups Relevant technologies and frameworks include MES, PLM, ERP/SAP, AWS, Azure, IAM, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, EDI, APIs, SFTP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTPS, SSH, ISO 27001, and SOX Responsibilities: Plan, lead, and conduct IT and security audits of infrastructure, enterprise applications—including MES, PLM, and ERP/SAP—and supply chain B2B integrations Assess external partners IT risks and security posture, including their compliance with security standards, data protection protocols, and intellectual property safeguards Act as the primary on-site IT contact for regional stakeholders and coordinate with remote and global teams across networking, storage, and application areas Manage urgent escalations with third-party IT vendors involving connectivity, servers, and production systems Audit network segmentation, access controls, APIs, and data transmission protocols used for automated exchanges between internal systems and external facilities Evaluate IT environments against frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOX to support data privacy, financial integrity, and regulatory compliance Use analytics tools to assess the accuracy and completeness of operational data and metrics received from partner systems, identifying anomalies and control gaps Prepare clear, actionable audit reports for leadership and monitor remediation through resolution of identified risks Technologies: AWS Azure Cloud ERP Firewall IAM Support Network Power BI Python SAP SQL Security Tableau TCP/IP Unix Windows DevOps More: At Vailexa, were building a team of thinkers, creators, and future leaders.
