Summary: A motivated and detail-oriented Chemistry Formulator Intern to join our SCJ RD&E team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced formulators and scientists in the development and optimization of chemical formulations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in laboratory practices, formulation techniques, and data analysis while contributing to exciting projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the formulation and development of various chemical products for Home Cleaning & Pest Control products. Conduct experiments to optimize formulations based on performance criteria and customer or SC Johnson requirements. Prepare and document laboratory reports, including formulation methods, results, and observations. Perform stability testing and evaluate the physical and chemical properties of formulations. Assist in the preparation of samples for testing and analysis. Maintain a safe, clean and organized laboratory workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Collaborating with RD&E core teams (Home Cleaning & Pest Control) and multiple product types. Required Skills / Experience / Competencies: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science Technology or a related field. Fluent in English Strong understanding of fundamental chemistry concepts and laboratory techniques. Experience with formulation chemistry is a plus but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
