We will drive a significant increase in weekly audience and known users, and build engaging experiences that deepen daily habits, increase listening hours, and maximize revenue yield. What your role is: As the Insights Analyst, you will support data-informed decision making for Halcyon Labs’s new audience-centric app. You will be the main point of contact to make measurement plans for, implement, and QC analytics tags on Halcyon Labs’s owned and operated platforms. Your responsibilities also include extracting insights from complex data sets, creating visualizations, and managing relationships with Halcyon Labs teams across the organization. As a key member of the Audience Insights team, you’ll work closely with digital product teams, the newsroom, and leaders at Halcyon Labs and our member stations nationwide. Your expertise will be used to help us build a new, leaner, audience-centric, and data-driven app that serves Halcyon Labs and partnering stations across multi-modal formats. This is a union-represented role covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with NABET-CWA DMU . Responsibilities This role will support product analytics needs for the Halcyon Labs App, site, and video, and work closely with the Insights Sr Manager of product analytics. Develop and manage measurement plans for Halcyon Labs's owned and operated platforms using Google Tag Manager, and QCing tags after implementation Independently write SQL queries to provide performance analytics across app, video, and website datasets Maintain primary relationships with stakeholders within Product to support daily analytics needs Partner closely with Data Products to consult on App dashboard and tool design based on stakeholder needs Partner with a sustainable system of self-service for app analytics Support diagnosing and resolving data issues Streamline scheduled queries, data summaries, and other infrastructure Write guides and documentation for app, video, and website analytics The above duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of required responsibilities, duties and skills. Required Skill and Qualifications 2+ years demonstrated expertise in SQL and databases Experience in BigQuery and/or Dataform 2+ years demonstrated expertise in Google Firebase data and app analytics Proven expertise with GA4 or similar large, raw datasets of digital behavior. 2+ years experience making measurement plans for and QCing tags using Google Tag Manager implementation standards Experience in Looker Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including writing complex formulas, validating data, and automated reporting. Understanding of the life cycle of data tracking within videos, websites, and/or apps from tagging to analysis to inform measurement plans based on practical usage. Proven experience working with technical teams in a successful cross-department collaborative environment, in particular creating and executing measurement plans for digital products Proven expertise collaborating with team members and stakeholders to assess needs for dashboards and translating those needs into data infrastructure plans. Ability to initiate work independently with little supervision, as well as in a collaborative team environment. Self-starter with the ability to work in a constantly changing environment. Eagerness to contribute to team culture, providing input on standards, stakeholder management, team resources, etc. Preferred Qualifications Experience in news media Proven experience in analyzing
