GNC Engineer (Senior, Experienced)

Salary: $132000 - 220000 per year Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent mix of technical education and experience Over 3 years of experience in Guidance Navigation and Control engineering Proficient in using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX for system modeling Responsibilities: Establish Guidance, Navigation and Control mission requirements while ensuring traceability and quality from system level to component level Utilize multidisciplinary model data to create and refine a complex, nonlinear simulation model consisting of 6 degrees of freedom Employ various programming languages, such as C, C++, FORTRAN, and Python to develop, implement, integrate, and test vehicle models and controllers Create flight control laws through modern linear control design techniques to meet design and performance criteria Conduct advanced nonlinear analysis to evaluate and enhance the control law design Validate models against test data to enhance the precision of the simulation environment Develop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, and signal shaping to ensure performance stays within all flight envelope areas Collaborate with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems engineers to integrate control laws into the operational flight program Support various flight simulation types including desktop, software, and real-time simulations Assist in hardware-in-the-loop development and testing Contribute to flight testing planning and execution Lead design reviews, analyses, simulations, and component/system testing to guarantee the delivery of products that meet or surpass customer expectations Mentor and train colleagues Technologies: Fortran Hardware Support Matlab Python Security More: At Ironwood Digital, we are dedicated to innovating and collaborating to create a better world.
