Game QA Tester (FQA) – Mexico City (CDMX)

Halcyon Labs Games is looking for freelance novice game testers to join us to provide client support on challenging test problems in a dynamic and exciting environment. Important information: This position is on a mandate contract. As a mandatory requirement, you must have the right to work in Mexico. This is an onsite position. You are required to work onsite during core business hours (Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day) at our office in Mexico City. So you shall be based in the Mexico City area or you are within commuting distance to our office. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: · Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills · Passion for games/testing/technology · Attention to detail · Ability to meet deadlines · The ability to work well in a team environment. · The drive, positive attitude and ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced, innovative and creative environment Primary responsibilities: · Execute test plans and cases, suggest improvements · Deliver needed documentation · Learn to cover and own product areas · Use test tools and automation · Analyze test results with Test Engineers or Lead · Find and report bugs including crash dumps, call stacks, and video capture · Use knowledge of user needs and competing games to influence the client’s product · Collaborate with partner teams in testing the product · Utilize black box and grey box testing techniques · Effectively communicate and report feature quality and state · Proactively look for gaps in test coverage · Perform basic configuration and setup tasks on PC, Game consoles or mobile phones · Offer constructive feedback on gameplay, fun factor, and game balance Bonus: · Game Testing experience · Experience with Security testing/ fuzzing tools · Experience with Performance/Stress testing tools and methodologies · Experience with Accessibility testing · Experience with Certification Testing and/or Lot Checks · Experience with testing tools like fiddler, netmon, etc. · Experience with bug tracking systems like ADO, JIRA, Bugzilla, etc. · Experience shipping any software products or certificates in games testing, design, engineering, etc.
