Functional Safety Engineer

Position : Functional Safety Engineer Work location : Dallas, TX Job Description Plan and execute ISO 26262 semiconductor development activities (Part 5 and Part 11). Develop and maintain the safety plan, safety case, and safety manual for assigned products Build and review FMEDA and FMEA for analog and mixed-signal blocks. Perform dependent failure analysis (DFA), including common-cause and cascading failures (shared references, supplies, substrate) Define failure mode distributions and justify diagnostic coverage with traceable evidence Calculate and report hardware architectural metrics (SPFM, LFM) and PMHF against ASIL targets Specify and validate safety mechanisms (voltage monitors, BIST, redundancy, diagnostics) with design and test teams Derive and trace safety requirements from system assumptions through design, verification, and validation Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
