About the role
This is a remote position. Are you a talented Full Stack Systems Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to make an impact in the telecommunications industry? we are on the forefront of digital transformation, and we want you to be part of our innovative team! Our ideal candidates must be able to travel 50% of the time to countries such as Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. A valid passport is required for the contract. This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential for further extension based on the project requirements. Key Responsibilities Design and Develop : Create scalable and robust systems by leveraging both front-end and back-end technologies. Telecom Systems Expert : Work with telecommunications systems to enhance functionality and performance. Software Architecture : Design software architecture that meets business and technical requirements. UI/UX Principles : Apply your understanding of UI/UX principles to create intuitive user interfaces. API Gateway Management : Manage API gateways to ensure seamless integration and communication between services. Data Transformation : Implement data transformation processes to support system integration needs. Third-Party Integrations : Collaborate with various third-party services to enhance system capabilities. Documentation Required for this position • Updated CV highlighting telecom/digital transformation experience • Professional certifications such as AWS, PMI, ITIL • Portfolio of previous projects • References from the telecom industry Requirements 5+ Experience in Telecom/Digital Transformation Projects : Proven track record in relevant projects is non-negotiable. Technical Proficiency : Strong proficiency in both front-end (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java). Analytical Skills : Strong analytical capabilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Business Process Modelling : Proficiency in modeling tools and techniques to visualize processes effectively. BSS Domain Knowledge : Familiarity with Business Support Systems is essential for this role. Agile Methodologies : Understanding of agile practices and frameworks to facilitate project delivery. Travel Flexibility : Willingness to travel 50% of the time to countries such as Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. A valid passport is required for the contract. Language Proficiency : Must be fluent in English; proficiency in French, Swahili, or Portuguese is an advantage.
