Position: Full-Stack Engineer (AI & Medical Imaging) Location: Remote or Hybrid (Europe preferred) Engagement Type: Full-Time / Contract Role Overview We are recruiting on behalf of our client a fast-growing healthtech company developing AI-powered tools that help save cancer patients lives for an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join their core product development team. In this role, youll contribute directly to the evolution of advanced medical imaging software , leveraging cutting-edge technologies across AI, cloud, and full-stack development. Youll work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where innovation and real-world impact go hand in hand. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills to a mission with purpose improving cancer diagnostics and patient outcomes through intelligent software. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications powering next-generation AI medical imaging systems . Develop and optimize both the frontend (React) and backend (Python/FastAPI) components to ensure high performance, robustness, and maintainability. Collaborate closely with data scientists, AI researchers, and clinicians to translate complex medical imaging workflows into intuitive, user-centered applications. Rapidly iterate based on user feedback to continuously refine and enhance the product experience. Contribute to UI/UX design discussions , ensuring that every feature is intuitive, responsive, and impactful. Implement APIs, integrate with imaging and cloud infrastructure, and ensure compliance with healthcare data standards. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code aligned with best practices in software engineering. Participate in product architecture decisions, bringing creative and technical insights to the table. Required Skills & Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science , Engineering , Mathematics , or a related field. Minimum 4 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React , with a deep understanding of modern frontend development. Solid experience in backend development using Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic) . Experience working with cloud environments , preferably AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) . Strong grasp of RESTful APIs , WebSockets , and asynchronous data handling. A good eye for UI/UX design and passion for building user-friendly interfaces. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver high-quality code quickly and iteratively. Collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within cross-functional teams. Nice to Have Experience developing computer vision or AI-based web applications . Familiarity with Rust for performance-critical modules. Exposure to medical imaging , DICOM standards , or healthcare software . Understanding of HIPAA/GDPR compliance for data handling.
