Firmware Engineer

Salary: $114000 - 146000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline. We need at least 5 years of embedded firmware development experience. We require strong C/C++ programming skills. We need hands-on experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems. We require experience troubleshooting interactions between hardware and firmware. We need a solid understanding of serial communications and industrial protocols. We require the ability to juggle several projects at once. We value strong analytical ability and an entrepreneurial mindset. Preferred qualifications include experience with Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet, or similar industrial protocols. Preferred qualifications include experience with IoT or remote monitoring solutions. Preferred qualifications include experience integrating sensors and control systems. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, gas detection, or building automation applications. Preferred qualifications include prior technical leadership or project management experience. Responsibilities: We design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based products. We create firmware for gas detection systems, refrigeration controls, monitoring devices, and sensor platforms. We support new product development from concept through production launch. We assess customer needs and market opportunities for new products and features. We troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and communications issues in both lab and field settings. We take part in product validation, testing, and certification activities. We collaborate with external engineering partners, PCB designers, and software contractors as needed. We prepare and maintain technical documentation. We work with manufacturing to improve product quality, reliability, and scalability. We provide advanced technical support to customers, distributors, and sales teams. We help develop remote monitoring and connected-device solutions.
