Position Details Fixed Term until December 2027 | Full-Time Higher Education Officer Level 4 | $76,140 - $82,119 p.a. Location: Arrernte - Alice Springs View Position Description About the Role As the Facilities Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Rural and Remote Health (RRH) team based in Alice Springs. Working closely with the Facilities Manager and leadership team, you will provide efficient facilities, accommodation and contractor support, while acting as a welcoming first point of contact for staff, students, visitors and community stakeholders. This hands-on role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to a positive experience for students and staff across the campus and accommodation network. The role also includes participation in an on-call roster, with some after-hours and weekend work required to support campus operations and student wellbeing. Provide responsive facilities and accommodation support to ensure the smooth operation of the Alice Springs campus and student accommodation properties. Act as the first point of contact for staff, students, visitors and contractors, delivering professional assistance and resolving enquiries efficiently. Coordinate contractor activities, maintenance requests, bookings and campus resources, including vehicles, bicycles and meeting spaces. Support student wellbeing and campus operations through practical on-site assistance, health and safety activities, and participation in an on-call roster. About You You are a proactive and customer-focused administrator who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and building positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Highly organised and adaptable, you can effectively manage competing priorities while delivering responsive support to staff, students and visitors. You bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the initiative to work independently and collaboratively to ensure campus operations run smoothly. Demonstrated organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and exercise sound judgement in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff, contractors and community stakeholders. A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and practical support, coupled with effective problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach. Experience using administrative systems and Microsoft Office applications, along with the ability to work collaboratively across teams to achieve shared outcomes.
