Engineering Manager (Data Processing)

Role Overview Yelp is seeking a technically skilled and visionary Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of high-quality, data streaming products that drive innovation and impact across Yelp. The team will be responsible for ensuring data freshness across Yelp's entire ecosystem, handling millions of reviews, ad clicks, and tens of thousands of daily photo uploads. What You Will Do As the leader of this team, you will guide a growing team of SREs and software engineers, own the strategy behind scalable pipelines, and partner closely with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent and reliable access to meaningful insights. Requirements Experience in engineering or backend development roles, with demonstrated success building large-scale maintainable data streaming systems. Several years of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams, preferably in the Streaming space, with a focus on impact, growth, and collaboration. Good communication skills to engage with a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences while driving strategies related to streaming architecture. Proven background in cloud-native solutions (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
