About the role
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in software and firmware, and advocate for secure coding practices.
📋 Description Work with product teams to identify, remediate, and validate security vulnerabilities in software/firmware. Perform application and product security assessments, including code reviews and vulnerability analysis. Help implement security tooling (SAST, SCA, CI/CD checks). Advocate and guide teams on secure coding and defensive programming practices. Use fuzzing, static analysis, and manual testing to find issues at scale. Track and analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends for NETGEAR products. 🎯 Requirements 4–5 years of experience in application security, product security, IoT security, or vulnerability research. Hands-on with security tools: SAST (Semgrep/CodeQL), SCA, fuzzing. Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, CWE, and remediation. Networking concepts and network security fundamentals. Excellent collaboration and English communication. BE or MS in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
