Embedded Software Engineer (C, MATLAB/Simulink)

Salary: $72,000 - 112,000 per year Requirements: At least 4 years of hands-on embedded software development experience Strong experience developing software in Embedded C Experience with MATLAB/Simulink development, modeling, or algorithm implementation Experience performing unit and integration testing of embedded software Experience debugging embedded software and investigating low-level issues Ability to translate technical and system requirements into software designs, algorithms, and implementations Practical experience with an additional programming language, or advanced proficiency in a primary programming language At least 6 years of overall IT experience consistent with an Engineer 3 level Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field Preferred: experience developing embedded software for automotive or other hardware-connected systems Preferred: hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and hardware/software integration Preferred: experience with CAN and LIN communication protocols, automotive diagnostics, or non-volatile memory (NVM) Preferred: experience with embedded requirements management, traceability, algorithm design, low-level debugging, and root-cause analysis Preferred: experience collaborating with hardware, controls, systems, and test engineering teams Preferred: experience with MATLAB/Simulink algorithm development and validation, embedded test automation, and low-level development and debugging tools Preferred: masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field Responsibilities: Design, develop, debug, integrate, and maintain low-level embedded software in Embedded C Develop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink models, algorithms, and supporting code from system and software requirements Translate system, functional, and software requirements into embedded designs and implementable algorithms Perform unit, integration, and system-level testing of embedded software Create and run HIL test scenarios and analyze the results Investigate low-level software issues and diagnose software, hardware, and integration problems Develop, integrate, and troubleshoot software using CAN and LIN protocols Support embedded diagnostics and NVM functionality Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions Collaborate with hardware, systems, controls, software, and test engineering teams on integration Contribute to requirements management and traceability, test planning, defect tracking, and verification and validation Support software integration, validation, and release activities throughout development Help improve embedded software development, debugging, and testing processes Technologies: Embedded Hardware Support Matlab C++ More: We are HTC Global Services, where you can build new solutions, grow your career, and develop skills in emerging technologies.
