Design, develop, and maintain software for embedded devices and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Salary: $119000 - 161000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent is required. We need someone who can obtain a U.S. Secret clearance after starting. You should have at least 2 years of experience with C, C++, or C#. Preferred background includes a bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, plus 2+ years of related experience; or a bachelors degree with 6+ years of directly related experience; or 10+ years of relevant experience. Experience leading Agile practices, with scrum master experience preferred, is valued. Experience using National Instruments tools and components is preferred. Familiarity with tools such as Visual Studio, Git, and Jira is preferred. You should be able to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. You must meet U.S. export control requirements and be a U.S. Person. You must be eligible to obtain U.S. citizenship-based security clearance requirements for an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance. We do not sponsor employment visas for this role. Responsibilities: We design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software integrated into embedded devices and systems in line with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards. We review customer needs and translate them into software designs for embedded products and systems. We build code for embedded software that runs on specialized hardware. We integrate embedded software with hardware components. We analyze system behavior and work to improve the efficiency and stability of embedded software. We test and debug software for embedded devices and systems. We support the adoption of new and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory updates related to software and hardware development. We track and evaluate internal and supplier team performance to ensure alignment with project plans and industry standards. We assist with embedded software project management activities. We identify software requirements, design, implement, test, and deploy software for automated test equipment used in factory and field armament testing. We create software verification plans and test procedures, execute tests, and document results to confirm requirements are met. We help advance enterprise software design practices, processes, tools, DevSecOps capabilities, and metrics. We plan, carry out, and document software research and development work.
