Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant

We are looking for a D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant who combines core functional expertise with hands-on experience building and maintaining automated regression tests. Responsibilities:Functional:Gather, analyze, and document business requirements together with stakeholders; translate them into functional specificationsConfigure D365 F&O modules (Finance, SCM, Production, Warehouse Management, Master Planning, depending on specialization)Prepare functional documentation: process flows, configuration guides, user manualsCoordinate UAT with the business, triage defects, and manage retestingDeliver end-user training and post-go-live supportAct as the liaison between business, development, and implementation partnersTesting and automation:Record business processes using Task Recorder, publish to Lifecycle Services (LCS) and the Business Process Modeler (BPM) libraryBuild and maintain regression test suites, currently using RSAT (Regression Suite Automation Tool)Parameterize tests through Excel to run the same recorded flow against different data setsManage test plans and test suites in Azure DevOps, review run resultsKeep test suites up to date after D365 updates (interface changes from Microsoft's continuous release cycle are the main maintenance driver)Log and track defects found through automated tests, work with developers to resolve themNote on tooling and transition period: Microsoft has marked RSAT for deprecation, with support ending May 15, 2027. RSAT remains fully supported and is expected to stay in active use for the foreseeable term of this role, but the industry is already shifting toward composable and AI-native test automation platforms (natural-language test authoring, self-healing tests, reusable test-journey libraries). We are not looking for RSAT-only expertise: the ideal candidate is comfortable with RSAT today and ready to adopt whichever automation platform the practice migrates to over the next 1-2 years.Requirements:3-4+ years of experience as a D365 F&O (or Dynamics AX) Functional Consultant in implementation, consulting, or support rolesStrong knowledge of at least one core module: Finance, SCM, or ProductionHands-on experience with RSAT and Task RecorderExperience with Azure DevOps (test plans, test cases, defect tracking)Solid understanding of regression testing principles and general test methodologyConfident with Excel for test data parameterizationAbility to independently analyze and resolve complex functional issuesFluent English, comfortable working in cross-functional, multicultural teamsOpenness to adopting new test automation tooling as the RSAT ecosystem winds down toward 2027Nice to have:MB-300, MB-310, or MB-330 certificationExperience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Logic AppsExposure to integration testing beyond core F&O (RSAT does not cover end-to-end scenarios through portals, e-commerce, or third-party systems)Familiarity with next-generation no-code/AI test automation platforms (natural-language authoring, self-healing test maintenance) or composable testing approachesWe offer:Projects for such clients as PayPal, Wargaming, Xerox, Philips, Adidas and ToyotaCompetitive compensation that depends on your qualification and skillsCareer development system with clear skill qualificationsFlexible working hours aligned to your scheduleOptions to work remotely
