About the role
Guide enterprise integrated experience platforms and lead UI design and development efforts.
Salary: $139000 - 183000 per year Requirements: We need a proven leader with experience guiding enterprise integrated experience platforms, including strategy and delivery for web and desktop UI foundations. We need hands-on expertise with design systems and shared UI component libraries, including governance, adoption, and long-term upkeep across multiple product teams. We need deep knowledge of modern UI and desktop experience architecture, including component-based micro-frontend platforms and consistent user experiences across applications. We need practical experience with desktop interoperability standards and platforms such as FDC3 and OpenFin/Interop, including context sharing, intents, app discovery, and cross-application workflows. We need experience designing AI-enabled interoperability capabilities, such as intelligent context propagation, intent resolution, workflow automation, and AI-assisted cross-application experiences. We need a strong understanding of desktop containers, inter-application messaging patterns, and orchestration models, including how AI services can improve productivity and decision-making. We need a track record of leading engineering talent while establishing clear technical direction and accountability. We need a solid full-stack background with the ability to lead across frontend platforms and backend services to ensure seamless end-to-end integration. We need the ability to influence enterprise engineering standards and platform strategy, especially across experience platforms, interoperability, and shared UI services. We need a sustained commitment to engineering excellence, people development, and continuous improvement in large, complex environments. We need a bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a strong grounding in data structures, algorithms, systems design, and core engineering principles. We need strong coaching and mentoring skills for engineers working across platforms, interoperability layers, and AI-enabled capabilities. We need advanced working knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, and component-driven UI development, including modern build, testing, and performance optimization practices. We need experience evolving UI frameworks and shared frontend capabilities that support both browser-based and desktop-hosted experiences. We need familiarity with backend and AI service integration through well-designed APIs, with working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST, OpenAPI, and OAuth2/JWT. We need knowledge of CI/CD pipelines supporting frontend assets, shared UI libraries, desktop-integrated applications, and AI-enabled services. We need understanding of cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based deployment models for experience platforms, interoperability services, and AI workloads. We need a strong operational mindset, including observability, reliability, incident response, and performance tuning, with focus on user experience and workflow continuity. We need curiosity and adaptability, with an ongoing interest in modern experience platforms, desktop interoperability, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled development practices. Responsibilities: We lead the engineering strategy, execution, and evolution of our integrated experience platform capabilities within the Asset Management Technology Foundations organization. We shape and govern the technical direction for web and desktop experience platforms, design systems, shared component libraries, and core UI frameworks. We balance people leadership with technical leadership, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and talent growth. We stay deeply involved in technical decisions, architecture choices, code quality, engineering standards, and delivery practices. We partner with engineering, architecture, UX, and product leaders to align on platform strategy and modern delivery approaches. We guide teams through complex trade-offs, design reviews, and platform modernization efforts. We coach engineers as they grow both their technical capability and their leadership potential. We build a learning-oriented, continuously improving engineering culture with strong collaboration and iterative delivery. We ensure our engineering talent and team structure are aligned with long-term strategy and organizational priorities. We support engineers in delivering high-quality work across UI platforms, Java, Spring Boot, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud technologies. We champion high standards for reliability, performance, resilience, security, accessibility, and craftsmanship. We reinforce engineering best practices, coding standards, design patterns, and platform guidelines. We evaluate and adopt modern approaches such as cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, event-driven systems, and appropriate AI/ML capabilities.
