Director, Agentic Software Development

Salary: $267000 - 316000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors or masters degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. We require 10 or more years of experience in AI/ML, automation, or analytics within R&D or the life sciences sector. We need strong hands-on experience delivering production-ready solutions using agentic development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar platforms. We require proficiency with data science platforms, MLOps, scripting, and automation toolsets. Responsibilities: We translate AI/ML and automation strategies into practical plans and deliverable projects across R&D teams. We lead the creation of applications and intelligent agents using modern agentic tools to advance business objectives. We promote strong governance for AI/ML and automation, including ethical application, model validation, and MLOps practices. We partner with R&D business stakeholders, IT, and external communities to identify and rank high-value use cases. We support adoption through training, community-building efforts such as guilds, and clear communication of success stories. We make sure solutions align with enterprise data platforms and existing workflows for smooth integration. We track KPIs and help maintain compliance documentation and audit readiness.
