DevSecOps Engineer, Phantom Works

Salary: $97000 - 161000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree or an equivalent educational background. We need the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance after start; U.S. citizenship or U.S. Person status is required for export control compliance. We require 2+ years of experience across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and testing. We require 2+ years of experience in DevOps and/or DevSecOps. We require 2+ years of experience with test automation. We require experience working in CI/CD using source control, build automation, and test automation tools. We prefer 3+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. We prefer a degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, with the experience levels listed for associate or experienced candidates. We prefer an active U.S. Secret security clearance. We prefer experience with the GitLab ecosystem. We prefer experience with Agile software development. We prefer experience with software containerization and container orchestration. We prefer experience in build automation. We prefer experience with Risk Management Framework security controls. We prefer strong familiarity with modern software development methods. We prefer proficiency with multiple programming languages, tools, and development techniques. We prefer experience with configuration management and deployment. Responsibilities: We lead the development, documentation, and upkeep of standardized DevSecOps processes, tools, methods, and performance metrics. We drive automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across development, testing, integration, deployment, configuration, and security workflows. We partner with cross-functional teams to build and sustain secure, scalable software pipelines. We implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations within the DevSecOps environment. We install and configure integrated software engineering environments based on DevSecOps principles. We design automation solutions and support build and release activities. We provide technical support and help meet application security, IT, and customer security requirements. We manage software dependencies, including evaluation, acquisition, licensing, integration, and maintenance. We assist software teams and IT with database support and virtual environment setup. We support operating system, infrastructure, and platform hardening to strengthen cybersecurity. We advise management and program leadership on process compliance and implementation approaches. We lead DevSecOps training to help teammates use tooling and apply DevSecOps principles.
