About the role
Design and implement Azure landing zones and manage Kubernetes clusters for secure cloud environments.
Salary: $99000 - 140000 per year Requirements: We require U.S. citizenship and an active secret-level security clearance or higher. We look for 5+ years of DevSecOps or cloud engineering experience with a strong Azure emphasis. We need hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Terraform, and policy-driven automation. We value strong troubleshooting ability and a practical, solution-oriented mindset. We expect candidates to be able to work independently, take initiative, and move projects forward with minimal oversight. We require comfort administering and securing Linux environments. We seek a solid grasp of networking fundamentals and cloud security architecture. We prefer experience delivering workloads at DoD IL4/IL5 impact levels. We prefer hands-on experience with RHEL and other RHEL-based Linux distributions. We prefer familiarity with Windows Server administration and automation. We prefer Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-305. We prefer experience with Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, or other AI/ML platforms. We prefer knowledge of GitOps workflows and tools such as FluxCD or ArgoCD. We prefer experience with identity and access management solutions such as Entra ID and Keycloak. We prefer an understanding of the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide. Responsibilities: We design and implement Azure landing zones aligned to IL4/IL5 requirements, including networking, identity, and logging controls. We manage Azure Kubernetes Service clusters using GitOps practices with FluxCD and Helm. We develop and maintain Terraform modules to automate Azure infrastructure delivery. We integrate Entra ID and Keycloak to strengthen authentication and access management. We implement AI workloads, including Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services, within secure boundaries. We ensure alignment with NIST 1000-171 for CUI and Cloud SRG IL4/IL5 compliance. We provide technical leadership and mentorship on Azure best practices and DevSecOps approaches. We partner with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.
