DevOps Engineer

Role Overview We are actively seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Product Engineering Digital team. At Vantage Compute, we work in small teams and move fast to drive our products and business to the next level. We look for crucial skills in team members such as a problem-solving mindset and intellectual curiosity, along with comfortable integration into a deeply collaborative system that rewards impact. Key Responsibilities Design, implementation, and automation of large-scale distributed systems Build tools and automation that help Vantage Compute achieve higher availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency Work with Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment Monitor production and development environments to build preventive measures and provide a seamless customer experience Work with delivery teams on software improvements to achieve higher availability and lower MTTD Participate in on-call rotation (1 weekend, every 5-6 weeks) Qualifications & Skills 3–6 years of public cloud experience (GCP or AWS) 3–6 years of private cloud experience (OpenStack, VMware ESXi) 3–6 years of Linux experience (CentOS/Ubuntu) 3–6 years of networking experience Orchestration and management of containers using Kubernetes, Helm, GKE and Docker Experience with GitLab, ArgoCD, CI/CD methodologies & tools Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Python or other scripting languages Experience with Ansible config management tool Experience with Prometheus/Loki/Alertmanager/Grafana observability tools Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Experience with Incident Management Process, SRE best practices and continuous improvements Experience designing large scale distributed systems Familiar with DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and best practices Strong verbal and written communications skills Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Vantage Compute embraces diversity and is committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
