Data Quality Specialist

Work Setup: ONSITE (Pasig) Work Schedule: AU DAYSHIFT Australian Mortgage Lender is seeking a technically skilled Data Quality Specialist to join our Manila team. This role will focus on diagnosing, resolving, and preventing data quality issues, which is critical for investor reporting and regulatory compliance. You will implement and maintain data governance structures while performing ongoing monitoring and remediation. The position requires a technically proficient individual who can perform deep root cause analysis across our data ecosystem while effectively collaborating with our Australian business teams. Primary Responsibilities Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues across our technology stack (Salesforce, SQL Server, loan servicing systems) Develop SQL queries to investigate and validate data integrity throughout the pipeline Implement improved data validation controls and automated quality checks Set up and configure data governance frameworks in Microsoft Purview (or similar tool) for monitoring and compliance Collaborate on the development of data quality metrics, thresholds, and scoring systems to measure and track quality Establish automated monitoring processes to proactively identify issues Collaborate with engineers to implement technical solutions for data quality problems Document data lineage, transformation logic, and system integration points Conduct regular data quality assessments and report to stakeholders Technical Skills Advanced SQL (SQL Server preferred) Salesforce data structures Microsoft Purview or similar tools ETL processes and data integration Data quality frameworks Key Success Attributes Investigative mindset with deep analytical skills Process-oriented approach to designing scalable solutions Proactive identification of systemic issues Strong cross-functional collaboration Detail-oriented with exceptional thoroughness Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or related field 3+ years in data analysis, governance, or quality roles Advanced SQL skills Experience with Salesforce data structures, validation rules, and triggers Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis and data quality framework implementation Knowledge of data quality dimensions and metrics development Experience with ETL processes and data integration concepts Strong communication skills to translate technical findings for business stakeholders Attention to detail Analytical skills Communication skills Problem-solving Desirable: Experience in financial services, particularly mortgage lending Knowledge of C# and loan management systems Adaptability Ability to learn quickly Team Player Multitasker
