Data Engineer - Snowflake & DBT - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d) Location: Bangalore, in Job Description Job Description: Data Engineer (Snowflake & dbt) Role Overview We are looking for an execution-focused Data Engineer to build and maintain modular data pipelines. You will use Snowflake and dbt to transform raw data into scalable, analytics-ready assets, working under the guidance of our Lead Data Architect within an agile data engineering pod to support the BI team. Key Responsibilities Pipeline Development: Build and maintain modular ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt across staging, intermediate, and mart layers. Model Implementation: Translate architectural blueprints into physical Snowflake tables and views using clean dbt SQL logic. Code Execution: Write clean, modular, and standards-compliant SQL and dbt code following established team guidelines. Data Quality: Implement automated dbt data tests, schema validations, and maintain documentation. Git Workflow: Participate in code reviews (PRs) and CI/CD deployment workflows. Qualifications 3–5 years of hands-on data engineering experience. Deep expertise in Snowflake (Warehouse configurations, Time Travel, Tasks/Streams). Strong dbt proficiency (Macros, incremental models, packages). Advanced SQL skills (Query profiling, complex window functions, analytical queries). Strong Git skills and experience with structured PR workflows. Snowflake or dbt certifications are a major plus.
