Data Center Manager (Night Shift)

Salary: $96000 - 96000 per year Requirements: We require 4+ years of information technology experience, or a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related equivalent field We require 2+ years of people management experience We require 2+ years of operations and on-call support experience in data center facilities, mission-critical plants, or production environments We require the ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed We require willingness to temporarily work at alternate sites during training periods or until the assigned facility is operational We prefer 2+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repair We prefer experience with technical writing in a relevant domain We prefer certifications such as A+, Net+, Sec+, CCNA, LPIC, Linux+, AWS certification, or CND We prefer experience with system management tools and client/server environments Responsibilities: We lead a team responsible for maintaining cloud infrastructure across global data center operations We prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators We manage the performance of diverse data center operations teams across multiple locations We develop career paths for employees and update those plans in our internal tools We recruit and train data technicians to maintain appropriate staffing levels We oversee day-to-day data center operations, including queue management, 24/7 shift scheduling, and hardware logistics We quickly develop subject matter expertise across all areas of data center operations We measure and ensure key operational KPIs and metrics are met We drive process improvement, technical innovation, and automation within the team We manage large-scale incidents and serve as the call leader during outages We improve workflows and throughput for data center operations We recommend, document, and enforce policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and SLA requirements We maintain the on-call schedule while coordinating absences and vacations We continuously improve the quality and volume of our services and customer experience Technologies: AWS Cloud Hardware Support Linux Network Security ASP.NET LESS More: We are AWS Infrastructure Services, and we design, plan, deliver, and operate all of AWSs global infrastructure.
