Data Architect

Salary: $109000 - 155000 per year Requirements: We require 12+ years of experience in data architecture or a closely related field. We need hands-on expertise with active metadata and closed-loop automation, including metadata-driven autonomous schema repair. We require deep knowledge of semantic engineering, including RDF, OWL, and SHACL for ontology-first modeling and SPARQL-based reasoning. We need production experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) and policy-as-code approaches for zero-trust, context-aware access control. We value experience with advanced privacy techniques such as homomorphic encryption (FHE) or SMPC for analytics on encrypted PII. We require strong knowledge of zero-copy data architecture, including Delta Sharing for cross-cloud analytics without egress. We prefer experience with compute platforms such as Trino (GraalVM), StarRocks, and DuckDB (WASM). We value orchestration experience with Dagster and Airflow at a provider level. We look for familiarity with semantic layer technologies such as Stardog, Apache Jena, and GraphQL Federation. We require proficiency in at least one systems language such as Rust, Clojure, or Java. We require an M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, or a related discipline focused on formal methods or logic. Responsibilities: We are looking for someone to design a self-healing, autonomous data fabric. You will help replace legacy ETL with an active, metadata-driven architecture. You will build governance mechanisms that are computational and dynamically enforced. You will enable zero-copy data sharing across environments. You will architect closed-loop automation that responds intelligently to metadata changes. You will develop ontology-first semantic models and reasoning workflows. You will implement context-aware, policy-based access controls. You will apply advanced privacy and encryption methods to support secure analytics. You will work across the compute, orchestration, and semantic stack to support the platform.
