Cyber Security Engineer with threat analysis

Salary: $135000 - 156000 per year Requirements: Active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory. Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Availability to work onsite in San Antonio, TX up to five days per week, depending on client needs. IAT Level II certification is required. At least 5 years of experience with DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks, including RMF, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and DISA STIGs. Minimum of 5 years of experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection. At least 5 years of experience securing network protocols, operating systems, and databases. 5 years of experience in scripting for automation and reporting, particularly in Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Responsibilities: Implement and uphold cybersecurity controls for supporting JCC2 operational systems. Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and threat analysis activities. Execute security testing and validation to identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities. Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and security events. Develop remediation strategies and assist in incident recovery efforts. Maintain security documentation, playbooks, and reporting materials. Ensure adherence to DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF, and security standards. Support system accreditation and security evaluation processes. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance system security measures. Participate in Agile program increment (PI) planning and activities, which may involve occasional travel.
