Cyber Security Analyst (Junior / Graduate level)

Peoplebank are assisting their client, based in Adelaide to hire a Junior Cyber Security Analyst on a 12 month contract. Whilst they operate a hybrid work set up, you MUST be based in Adelaide, with full work rights (no sponsorship etc.) to enable to you work in the office 3 days per week. In this role, the Junior / Graduate Cyber Security Analyst supports the protection of systems, information, and digital services delivered through a large program of work. The role contributes to maintaining a secure and trusted environment for the collection, processing, storage, and exchange of a large range of complex data. Working under the guidance of Senior Cyber Security specialists, architects, and IT technology teams, you will assist with security monitoring, compliance activities, vulnerability management, and security assurance processes. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop foundational cyber security skills while contributing to a nationally significant reform program. Key Responsibilities Cyber Security Operations Support Security Compliance & Assurance Vulnerability Management Security Governance & Risk Cloud Security Support Collaboration & Stakeholder Support Learning & Professional Development Required Capabilities & Experience Skills and Experience Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Some relevant commercial work experience in Cyber Security would be beneficial Foundational understanding of cyber security principles and practices. Basic knowledge of: Network security Identity and access management Cloud security concepts Vulnerability management Security monitoring Cloud & Technology Skills Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or an interest in developing Azure security skills. Exposure to Microsoft security technologies is desirable. Understanding of modern cloud and SaaS environments. Basic understanding of infrastructure, applications, and data security. Communication & Collaboration - Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, working in a multi-disciplinary teams.
