Cyber Operations Specialist

Salary: $12000 - 15000 per year Requirements: We require enlistment in the Army National Guard. We require candidates to be at least a junior in high school, or to hold a high school diploma or GED. We require applicants to be between 17 and 35 years of age. We require the ability to pass a physical examination and meet legal and moral standards. Responsibilities: We detect, identify, and respond to cyber threats to protect military and friendly networks. We carry out coordinated offensive cyberspace operations against hostile activity. We execute defensive operations to safeguard data, networks, and net-centric systems. We provide intelligence and network support that helps secure the cyber domain. We collect, interpret, and report digital information. We maintain and support network defense tools such as routers and firewalls. We assess the effectiveness of network defense operations. We respond to incidents in cyberspace and support rapid mitigation efforts. We conduct surveillance and reconnaissance on designated systems and networks. We perform network terrain assessments, penetration testing, basic digital forensics, and software threat analysis.
