About the role
ABOUT CUBIST Cubist Systematic Strategies, an affiliate of Aperture Cloud, deploys systematic, computer-driven trading strategies across multiple liquid asset classes, including equities, futures and foreign exchange. The core of our effort is rigorous research into a wide range of market anomalies, fueled by our unparalleled access to a wide range of publicly available data sources. ROLE The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the research and production pipeline for a medium frequency equity portfolio—maintaining and improving production monitoring tools, and helping with production issues. An ideal candidate should have a passion for technology, take ownership of their work, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Designing, implementing, and maintaining research and production pipeline—including data processing, model building, back-testing, and live monitoring toolkits. Performance optimization in both research and production environments. Troubleshooting and resolving production issues. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or other quantitative discipline. 3+ years of professional programming experience, preferably in a big tech firm or a quantitative trading team. Advanced proficiency in Python and its ecosystem. Fast learner, strong passion for technology, and keen to explore the latest technological advancements. Experience in software architecture and engineering is a plus. Experience in distributed computing is a plus. Strong quantitative skills and knowledge in statistics and linear algebra is a plus.
