Creative Front-End Engineer, Data Viz

Salary: $149000 - 192000 per year Requirements: We are looking for roughly 5–10 years of front-end engineering experience, with flexibility for exceptional candidates. We need strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript. We require deep expertise in React or Svelte. We need substantial experience building custom data visualizations with D3. We value experience working with SVG, Canvas, and/or WebGL. We expect a strong grasp of responsive design and contemporary UI development practices. We are looking for someone who can turn complex information into refined user experiences. We want experience delivering polished, production-ready applications for external users. We need strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. A portfolio featuring interactive storytelling, data journalism, or advanced visualization work is a strong plus. Experience with animation and motion design principles is desirable. Familiarity with GIS, mapping, or spatial data visualization would be beneficial. Experience working with institutional, financial, research, or enterprise datasets is an advantage. Responsibilities: We design and develop high-quality interactive data experiences for sophisticated end users. We build custom visualizations using D3 and modern front-end frameworks. We create engaging interactions with SVG, Canvas, and WebGL technologies. We translate complex datasets into intuitive narrative or exploratory interfaces. We partner with designers and stakeholders to deliver polished, production-ready experiences. We optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and accessibility. We contribute to front-end architecture and establish best practices for visualization development. We balance technical rigor with strong visual design and user experience standards.
