Salary: $60,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: Pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field Interested in software engineering, particularly security and system protection Familiar with programming concepts and willing to learn secure coding practices Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Curious about designing systems to prevent and mitigate risk Strong communication and collaboration skills Able to work independently and as part of a team A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Responsibilities: Support the development of secure applications and systems across our technology environment Help implement security controls and best practices in software and platforms Assist with identifying and addressing vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure Build or improve tools, scripts, and processes that strengthen security and automation Collaborate with engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver secure solutions Learn secure software development practices and cybersecurity concepts Contribute to design, development, and testing within Agile teams Build connections with peers, mentors, and leaders across our organization Participate in ongoing coaching and feedback to support professional development Technologies: Support Security More: We are partnering with hackajob to connect exceptional professionals with Vanguard. As a Risk & Security Engineer intern in our College to Corporate (C2C) Internship Program, youll work at the intersection of software engineering and cybersecurity, contributing to resilient, secure, and reliable technology that protects our investors. This immersive program combines hands-on project work, mentorship, and structured development, including opportunities to build technical and leadership skills. It is a full-time, paid 10-week summer internship beginning in May or June 2027.
