Cloud Security Engineer Remote

Salary: $72,000 - 112,000 per year Requirements: A bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience in information security, computer science, or a related field. Extensive experience in information technology and information security. Expertise with Palo Alto Prisma/Cortex Cloud or comparable CNAPP tools, and experience securing cloud environments. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cloud security frameworks such as CIS, OWASP, and NIST, and threat mitigation methods. Strong understanding of related security functions and technologies, including XDR, CASB, SIEM, SOAR, DLP, SOC, FIM, WAF, API gateways, SAST, DAST, and SCA. Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, code repositories, Bash or PowerShell scripting, Terraform, API calls, and security automation. Experience with technical systems such as ticketing, change management, ITIL, ITSM, CMDB, and document repositories. Hands-on experience with container technologies and security, infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and creating or managing AWS and Azure environments or accounts. Experience with other cybersecurity tools, such as Zscaler, Qualys, SentinelOne, BeyondTrust, or Salt Security. Experience with on-premises security solutions, particularly in hybrid cloud environments. Certifications such as Palo Alto PCCSE, AWS or Azure security certifications, CISSP, CCSK, or CCSP are highly preferred. Responsibilities: Monitor cloud security dashboards for alerts, vulnerabilities, and compliance risks. Partner with cloud stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues, alerts, and false positives; document lessons learned and coordinate follow-up. Support internal teams with cloud security needs, including portal access, client deployments, alert investigations, reporting, and metrics. Collaborate with internal teams to embed application security capabilities into their pipelines and shift security left. Produce and analyze reports on security metrics, recurring issues, and key risk areas. Find opportunities to automate security processes and reporting.
