Cloud Operations Engineer (CloudOps) Location: Manila / Cebu | Onsite Employment Type: Full-time About OpsWerks OpsWerks is a technical consulting firm specializing in operational services for the high-tech industry. We support platform and infrastructure teams in managing multi-cloud environments, executing complex migrations, and enabling seamless application deployments. Your Role As a Cloud Operations Engineer , you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting mission-critical cloud environments across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of cloud-based systems Collaborate with SRE teams and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Act as an escalation point for technical issues, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis Perform systems administration, monitoring, and incident management Contribute to automation, process improvements, and operational documentation Analyze system performance and provide data-driven recommendations Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in cloud platforms and services Lead or support engineering initiatives and continuous improvement projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field 3+ years of experience in cloud operations (AWS required) Hands-on experience with at least one additional cloud platform ( Azure, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud ) Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (design/architecture is a plus) Strong background in DevOps and CI/CD practices Experience with tools such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker, Artifactory Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms Exposure to technical support, infrastructure, and platform services Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps ) are an advantage Nice to Have Experience in SRE practices, observability, and monitoring tools Knowledge of automation scripting (Python, Bash) Familiarity with incident management and reliability engineering
