The role Lumen Dynamics is seeking a Cloud Enablement Engineer to join us in providing a suite of solutions centered by AWS services that enable our product development and engineering organization to create, and deliver Lumen Dynamics’s technical offerings. Our team focuses on enabling software engineers to reliably and rapidly deliver software, and manage the company’s cloud infrastructure standards, while empowering developers to build for their needs. Your day-to-day Implement AWS cloud standards for infrastructure, networking, and software components, optimizing for security, speed, and cost-efficiency. Support new technologies to stay ahead of the needs of the business. Collaborate with development teams to ensure their applications are optimized for deployment in an IaC environment, and meet security and compliance requirements. Support and maintain automation and deployment processes to enable and improve developer experience and efficiency. Support our pattern libraries for IaC to enable developers to “plug-and-play” to build out their own environments Support monitoring and logging solutions to allow development teams to assure their platform is performing at its best. Encourage developer autonomy and self-service by contributing to developer training and documentation for Platform products. Promote a supportive culture focused on building reliable systems and processes based on established best practices in the industry. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in AWS, including security, performance and scalability issues. Support our security and compliance measures to ensure the AWS services meets regulatory requirements. Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for internal developer services. About you Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science or equivalent relevant professional experience and; 3-5 years of experience in AWS Cloud Services or developer experience tooling to include: Three or more years of experience working with specific AWS technologies including PaaS specific offerings. Two or more years of experience working with distributed systems. Experience and understanding of CI/CD processes and commercial tooling such as GitLab and Github. Experience and understanding of Go, Python, or Bash languages Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi. Experience enabling and troubleshooting containerized workloads in ECS, Docker Swarm or Kubernetes. Experience engaging with users of developer platforms to ascertain needs and opportunities. Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to contribute during code reviews, and capture tasks. Excellent troubleshooting skills and great attention to detail. At least one associate-level AWS certification (or willingness to provide proof of certification within 6 months of employment). Bonus Points Working with serverless technologies within AWS or GCP Experience with Multi-Region deployments within AWS or GCP Prior involvement in running developer surveys or gathering feedback to guide DevEx improvements. Salary: $155,000 to $205,000* *Please note that the final salary offered will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, and experience, as well as the internal salary structure at Lumen Dynamics.
