Cabin Systems Engineer - Experienced or Senior

Salary: $112,200 - 185,150 per year Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry, or a directly related non-U.S. equivalent qualification. At least 3 years of experience in Cabin Systems engineering or a related field. Demonstrated design and systems-thinking skills. For Senior Level 4, at least 5 years of experience in Cabin Systems engineering or a related field. Preferred: experience with Cabin Systems and suppliers, and interfacing with E-UMs, the FAA, or other certification regulatory agencies. Preferred: strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person. A bachelors degree or equivalent is required. Responsibilities: Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system designs. Test and validate system designs to confirm they meet operational and functional requirements. Help monitor supplier performance to support system integration and compliance with requirements. Resolve issues involving deployed hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle. Research technology advances for potential use in company operations. Our Boeing Commercial Airplanes 787 Interiors organization is hiring Experienced Level 3 and Senior Level 4 Cabin Systems Engineers in North Charleston, South Carolina. Our team designs and integrates advanced electrical cabin systems, including interior lighting, passenger address, in-flight entertainment, seatback video, passenger connectivity, and satellite connections. We work with global suppliers and take systems from concept through design, testing, certification, delivery, and production. This is a first-shift position, with relocation available subject to eligibility; we do not sponsor employment visas.
