About the role
Design, develop, and maintain backend C++ components for sales and trading applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain backend C++ components supporting sales and trading applications. Work across the broader technology stack, including .NET services, Kafka messaging pipelines, KDB+ data stores and Python tooling, as needed. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the trading systems, applying strong logical and analytical thinking. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including trading desks, business stakeholders and other engineering teams, to deliver reliable solutions. Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from design and coding through testing and production support. Required Skills and Experience Strong proficiency in C++ development, banking and financial services, capital markets and sales and trading systems. Experience in backend development, .NET, Kafka, KDB+, Python, SQL, Linux/Unix, object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, multithreading, API integration, system design, performance optimization, debugging, troubleshooting, production support, and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) management.
