We are looking for a hands-on Business Unit Manager who will lead across multiple development teams. The ideal candidate is a senior engineer or technical lead who can take ownership of delivery, technical direction, and team health, while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day engineering work. People leadership and business ownership are important parts of the role, but the core focus is technical execution, engineering excellence, and enabling teams to build high-quality solutions. Responsibilities Actively design, build, and review production code alongside your teams Own technical and key engineering decisions across the unit's projects, including cloud infrastructure on Azure Provide hands-on technical mentorship: pair programming, code reviews, design reviews, and unblocking developers on hard problems Oversee project delivery, ensuring technical quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction Manage the day-to-day leadership - performance, growth and team health Coordinate with clients and stakeholders on technical scope, feasibility, and delivery commitments Monitor business unit performance and report to senior leadership Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, including recent, active coding (not purely architectural or oversight roles) Strong experience with Java/Spring Boot on the backend and at least one of Angular, React, or Vue on the frontend Experience leading or mentoring developers technically - tech lead, staff engineer, or similar track record Comfort owning architecture decisions and being the final technical authority for a unit's projects Fluency in Greek and English, written and verbal Nice to have: Experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, App Services, Azure DevOps, etc.) in production environments Experience managing or leading multiple teams simultaneously Background in systems integration, digital transformation, or enterprise software projects Domain experience in public sector, banking, telecoms, or energy Career development and growth opportunities.
